These plinths and thrown on the pottery wheel and deigned to be paired with a pillar candle or to elevate a treasure. These are made from hand harvested wild uku (clay) from Waiheke Island. It is fired raw to highlight the natural beauty of the clay.
These are available in 3 different blends of uku,
The darkest is a blend from Rangihoua and is a dusk light red uku
The mid colour is a peachy cream colour from Blackpool and has lovely blushing and streaks.
The lightest tone is a uku from Blackpool blended with a light clay to make it a slight yellow clay.
This is the tallest of three size plinths at. height.
Each piece is unique and perfect alone or in a grouping.
10% of all sales of wild Uku will be donated to Pirathi Marae here on Waiheke, Ngāti Paoa whenua.
