This vessel is hand thrown on the pottery wheel in a blended Rangihoua uku, hand harvested. This little jug has a spout and a hand pulled carved handle. Carved with minimal niho taniwha whakaro to represent resilience and ta moko, carved into the skin of Papatuanuku.
This uku was harvested on Ngāti Paoa whenua.
Glazed internally with a tore pango black and inlayed over carving.
This is a one-off piece, apart of a wider collection celebrating Waiheke uku, 10% of sales will be gifted back to Maori kaupapa on Waiheke.
