and thrown on the potters wheel in brutalist clay and doubled dipped in bespoke hōrua glaze.
Hōrua means baked kōkōwai in te reo Māori, kōkōwai is a deep red brown earth pigment, culturally and spiritually important to māori, used in decoration and ceremony. Hōrua is inspired by kōkōwai and this glaze is a celebration of wild uku/clay and earth pigments. It is a deep red glaze with chocolate brown stain glaze. The brutalist clay is a hard waring clay, that has a light feel and concrete look.

These mugs are a very large mug, perfect for a cup of tea, the type of mug you are always reaching for. These have a two finger grip and are sturdy but light. The mugs are around 10.5 cm tall.

All Thea ceramics are hand made so sizes and colours vary, they are dishwasher safe and are intended for everyday use.
