Hand thrown on the potter’s wheel, the mini pourer is a vessel ideal for holding milk or cream to serve with coffee and tea. The pieces are double dipped in a satin glaze, with a raw clay base.
Hōrua means baked kōkōwai in te reo Māori, kōkōwai is a deep red brown earth pigment, culturally and spiritually important to māori, used in decoration and ceremony. Hōrua is inspired by kōkōwai and this glaze is a celebration of wild uku/clay and earth pigments. It is a deep red glaze with chocolate brown stain glaze. The brutalist clay is a hard waring clay, that has a light feel and concrete look.
These are around 8.5cm tall Please note that sizing is approximate as all items are hand thrown.
